Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Fritz Gabelus immigrated to Boston Massachusetts at 26 years of age, where he studied Hotel Restaurant Management and Tourism. He began his professional career in the Hospitality Industry focusing on customer support & service, transitioning in 2002 into Real Estate as both a successful investor, and eventually an agent with Coldwell Banker. Graduating with degrees in business management and culinary arts, he joined the Ritz Carlton where he was able to combine his love of people with his honest and direct communication approach to become adept at service and customer experience. He further expanded his skills with hands on experience as a Real Estate investor with multiple successful renovations to his credit, prior to realizing his desire to become fully immersed in Real Estate.

Fritz gained his Real Estate Agent Certification in 2008, and joined Coldwell Banker later that year, being well regarded for his unique approach to fulfilling his clients Real Estate needs. He has been able to successfully combine his customer service skills with his detailed knowledge of Commercial and Residential Real Estate, his background in property investment and his extensive knowledge of the local Real Estate markets, to provide a superior experience to his clients. When not serving the needs of his clients, Fritz enjoys time with his family, and loves traveling internationally where he enjoys gaining an understanding and appreciation of the people, and cultures, of the places he travels. He is Fluent in French & Creole, proficient in Spanish, is a tennis coach, dedicated husband and father of three wonderful and energetic kids.

“We met Fritz at an open house for a large but rundown property in Randolph. He was the representing realtor. I was impressed with the way he didn’t push the property on me but just pointed out details I might not have caught on my own. I brought my wife to see the house the next day. Fritz was very flexible in arranging a Wednesday night viewing with the seller’s family still in the house. My wife wasn’t impressed by the house but we bonded with Fritz right away and told him of our stress at trying to get our own condo ready to sell.

Fritz came over to see our condo a few days later, on a week night, and gave us simple advice on how to present our place. Suddenly, the idea of selling our condo became very achievable and within a week we had set up an open house.

We had three offers the day after the open house and very quickly moved onto the contract phase. Fritz marshaled the process along at every step making sure that everything was on schedule with the documents, etc. we were responsible for and with constant communication with the buyers realtor, attorney, inspector, etc. Everything went very smoothly and on-time. We sold the condo for $ 21,000 over asking and for $80,000 over our purchase price 4 years earlier. Fritz made me feel that I had a team behind me supporting me at every step. A truly great feeling when navigating such a stressful transaction as selling a property.

We were so impressed with Fritz that we used him as our buying realtor as well. He showed us properties right on target with our needs and wishes and arranged a good deal only slightly above asking in this extreme seller’s market. He arranged our attorney, who did an excellent job, and worked closely with our mortgage broker to get the financing approved on time. The seller had transferred the deed to the relocation company that represented the seller. We ran into an impasse on the financing when the bank balked at a one-deed transfer. Fritz broke that impasse by leveraging the resources of Coldwell Banker’s affiliated to clearly lay out the issues and solutions for this problem. The bank agreed to the loan the next day. The whole time-line from showing our condo to moving into our new house took 6 weeks.
